I’m a 41-year-old father of two. My daughter is 21 and recently moved across the country. My son is 14, going into high school next year, and currently living with his grandma. I see my son daily and talk to my daughter regularly. I love both my kids more than anything, and I’m proud of the people they’ve become.

Now for the hard part. I’ve never been the type to ask for help. I’ve always tried to handle life’s problems on my own. But after making some poor choices and mistakes, I lost my apartment in June of 2025. Since then, I’ve been struggling to get back on my feet and save enough money to get a place again for me and my son.I’ve been couch surfing and sometimes sleep in my car.  I work full time, work as many hours as I can, and pick up side jobs whenever possible, but I’m still struggling to make ends meet.

One thing I am proud of is that I’ve been clean and sober for 9 months, and I plan to stay that way while I keep fighting to rebuild my life.

So here I am, asking the internet for a little help. Donations, advice, prayers — anything means more than you know. My goal is to save enough to pay off some debt and for deposit to get back into a stable home. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
