I am homeless and re-entering into society from prison. I have no friends or family and I've been walking the streets every night until I've walked blood blisters into my feet. I have a trade as a painter but I can't get hired because I have no tools or transportation. So I'm looking for enough to get the hand tools I need to ply my craft and an e-bike or something to get to the job site until I can start receiving a paycheck.
The tradesmen of my craft will almost always overlook the man applying who has no tools, it gives the impression that you are underqualified. The first question they ask is if I have transportation. These two indicators are the deciding factors in whether I get a shot. Plus, I have literally walked myself to the point of doing damage to my body, and if I continue like this, I won't even be able to work if I do find a job because I'm about to need crutches.
You would really be life-changing to offer this little bit of assistance. I'm not looking for a handout—I just need a helping hand to get back on my feet.
