After spending 14 years incarcerated, I am finally stepping back into society and facing the challenge of rebuilding my life from the ground up. The world has changed so much, and I’ve lost everything during my time away. I am determined to get back on my feet, but it’s not easy—especially when jobs are hard to come by for someone with my background. Every day, I am working hard to move forward, but I need some help to truly get reestablished and start fresh.

The support I receive will go directly toward the essentials I need to build a stable future: clothes, housing, transportation, schooling, and the chance to start my own business. These are the building blocks that will help me regain my independence and contribute positively to my community. I am committed to making the most of this second chance, but I can’t do it alone.
