My family and I are facing one of the toughest challenges of our lives. My dad recently suffered a devastating fall while in Halifax that has left him paralyzed from the neck down. This sudden and heartbreaking event has completely changed his life and ours in ways we never imagined.

Right now, my dad is in the hospital in Halifax, receiving care far from home. The distance has added an extra layer of difficulty for our family, as we all live in Toronto and are trying to navigate traveling back and forth while managing the emotional and financial strain of this tragedy.

The road ahead is long and uncertain. Between medical expenses, specialized equipment, therapy, and the cost of adjusting our lives to provide him with the care he needs, the financial burden is overwhelming. On top of this, we are struggling to cover everyday expenses like bills, groceries, and transportation while we focus on being by his side.
