Maier/ Tice -family left devastated

A family left devastated to a life lost.
It saddens us to announce that the last 2 weeks have been severely devastating for our family. We lost our beloved boy Joshua George Tice (29yrs) in a moment of weakness. This tragedy has left so many mourning, so many questions, and most of all, his only three biological beautiful children, Elizabeth, Jerrid and Mason. Joshua was a loving father, son, relative & friend. He will be greatly missed.
Our names are Tracy and John. We have started this Go Fund Me page to assist in the support of the children. Their father Joshua lost his battle with depression on Sunday October 7th. Unfortunately, this has left Rihanna, the mother of these 3 innocent children, with a large amount of debt and a desperate future. Joshua and Rihanna had 11 near perfect years together, raising their children, supporting one another, living as a couple. Unfortunately, they separated and Rihanna and the children moved back to Ontario living with her parents with the three children. Joshua remained in Alberta.
Joshua had always provided for his family. Regrettably we need to state that Joshua was 2 years behind on his child support payments
Jerrid was born with high functioning autism and we were told he would be non verbal and would have little quality of life. We are pleased to share we are starting to beat that diagnosis. However, as some of you may or not know, provincial funding in Ontario is no longer available once the child turns 5. A huge disappointment. Speech therapists, occupational therapy, intensive intervention and the slew of other programs he benefits from are costly.
Elizabeth is like every other active 8 year old child and wants to go to gymnastics, swimming lessons and play soccer with her peers. She’s extremely bright and dreams of what she is going to do as an adult after college or university. All luxury items when one has little to no income.
Mason is a ball of energy and requires the same structure most sports programs could offer. He reminds us of his father every day. He also deserves the peace of being able to set roots, to grow and become the man all parents would be proud of
Joshua did have an insurance policy for the children, however it was recently amended and cashed by another party. This leaves our family with countless questions. We doubt very much that any funds will be placed in trust for the children or put towards support passed due, which is significant. Although Rihanna’s parents do their best to help her and the children they have Rihanna’s brother and sister to support and their own bills to contend with as well.
We ask that you kindly donate to this family in need. The last two weeks have been unbearable. Please help them so the next 20 years don’t have to be. This go fund me page is the only official donation page for the Maier/Tice children.
