A Family in Crisis — Please Help Us Hold On

Hello, my name is Jennifer Byrne, and I never imagined I’d be writing something like this.

My husband, Bub, was laid off last month, and since then, we’ve been doing everything we can to keep our heads above water—odd jobs, cutting back, stretching every dollar. But now, I’ve lost my job too. We’re out of options, and we’re running out of time.

We’re facing the loss of our only legal means of travel because we can’t currently make the payments. Without it, we won’t be able to get to work, to interviews, or even to the store. Our rental home is also at risk, and our funds are nearly gone. With grocery expenses, prescriptions, and utilities our small savings won't last long. We’re trying to stay strong, but the stress is becoming overwhelming.

We’ve always tried to handle things ourselves, but right now, we need help. It'll be at least a couple months to get on our feet once we find employment, so we're trying to raise enough to get us through until then. If you’re able to contribute anything—no matter how small—it would mean the world to us. Every dollar helps us keep our home, our transportation, and our dignity. Prayers are also requested.
