a family in a very distressing time of need

Hiya, I’m Sarah and I’m trying to raise funds for a family in a very sad, distressing and truly heartbreaking time.

I have known the family since recently moving to the village, and the children being friends with my children. Since knowing Meria, I’ve realised what a truly amazing, hard working and strong person she is and a fantastic mother to her children.

To say Meria has had an easy ride in life would be a lie, and that’s why my heart well and truly goes out to her. Already suffering recent loss, the bad luck didn’t end there.

Sadly just before Christmas, they received an eviction notice to leave there private rented accommodation early February. After finally feeling settled and the children happy at a new school making lots of new friends, this was a big blow to the family. The council doesn’t want to help no body does, and to feel like your loosing what you’ve worked so hard to provide, came as a real shock.

But that wasn’t the end of Meria’s turmoil. Sadly just after new year 2024 Michael Meria’s partner of 13 years and father to there 4 children suddenly and unexpectedly passed away.

I cannot explain to you, the impact this has had on the family and how Meria, gets up puts a smile on her face and still looks after her family. Not only has she lost her partner, the children have lost and amazing father. It breaks my heart for all of them, and to hear the children who where also sadly there when this happened tell you about it and stand there like this is normal in there life, because they have had already had so much trauma and upset over the years is beyond me.

And this is why as a mother myself, I feel as a community we need to do something to help.

Meria now has to pay to release a body, a funeral, find a home somewhere and literally start all over again. And still with hurdles being thrown at her daily she’s got to continue for the sake of there 4 children.

Michael was the main provider in the house before he died, and financially all the above isn’t viable with no income currently and still children to provide for.

Help me by giving £1, £5, £20 anything to this well worthy fund to help get this family’s life back to some sort of normality and release financial pressures allowing them to grieve in peace.
