I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help. A dear friend of mine in India is facing the very real and terrifying possibility of homelessness. She lives with her 66-year-old mother, her elderly disabled grandmother, and a house full of love in the form of two dogs and sixteen rescued cats - all of them taken in from the streets over the years.
This is a family of three women who have been fighting to survive for nearly fourteen years, working hard every day just to stay afloat in a system that offers little support. There are no safety nets where they are. No government aid. No shelters. No protections.
Now, they are being evicted by heartless landlords who have threatened violence against them and their animals. Their pets are not just animals: they are companions, family, and proof of their kindness in a world that hasn't been very kind back.
They urgently need funds to move somewhere safe, to keep a roof over their heads, and to protect the lives they've lovingly built. We are fundraising to help them cover moving costs, secure a new place to live, and make sure that none of them - not the women, nor the animals - are left out on the streets.
Please help if you can. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward keeping them safe. If you can't donate, sharing this message helps more than you know.
From my heart to yours, thank you.
