Hey friends! Marissa has always dreamed of having a nice piano in her living room, and with her birthday and move-in date approaching, this is the perfect opportunity to come together and bless her with something she wouldn't be able to afford for some time after buying the house and a car post-accident. I've learned about her preferences for the feel and sound of pianos, and tested lots at the local West Michigan Piano store, and I think this Samick JS115 is a great option for the price, with a really bright high end that she'll love, and a beautiful finish.

The piano is listed at $2,995 (including moving, tuning, and regulating), so the total I'm trying to raise ($3,200) includes sales tax and covers the 2.9%+30 cent fee that GoFundMe charges per donation (I couldn't find a fee-free way to raise this with transparency as we go.)

If we raise above this, and reach closer to $6,000, we would be able to afford a slightly newer Yamaha, which would be another great option, packing a bit more punch with in the lower notes. I'll communicate with everyone if it seems like that's a possibility, but I thought this was a good start. Let's make this the best housewarming+birthday ever!
