Lorinda Gentry (Gorman) Memorial Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Steve. The picture above is of me and my sister Lori from some years ago; it is from a happier time. Lori was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. It has been a shock to her, her family, and her friends. She suddenly became ill about a month ago. When her health didn't improve, she went to the hospital. That is when she got the devastating news that she has cancer in multiple areas. This rare form of cancer has debilitated her. She can no longer work, and is unable to even perform normal household functions. We do not know what the future holds, but we remain hopeful. I have started this fundraiser to try to help her in being able to continue to pay monthly bills. She won't be working and will no longer be able to pay for living expenses, and I do not want her to have to worry about that.
Lori has been a hard worker her entire life. Our Mother is unable to live on her own, so she lives with Lori and Lori cares for her. Other family members are trying to assist in both Lori's care and our Mother's care now. Lori has been accustomed to taking care of things her entire life, so this illness has landed a devastating blow to her both physically and mentally. Lori has always been the care giver, not the one who needs the care. In addition to our Mother, she has provided a loving home for other family members, to include her grandchildren and her beloved pets.
Lori has never been one to ask for help, so I am doing it for her. I ask that you consider donating to help someone that truly needs it, but would never ask for it herself. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!
