TEABAG is The Education And Book Appeal - Ghana. They support an independent vocational training college in Ghana, and its feeder schools. We Ride Waves - Ghana is about enabling the community to enjoy their beautiful ocean and have the opportunity to learn to surf. Surfing is such a social pleasure and can be a medium to uplift communities and illuminate futures. It can drive social inclusion and give youth empowerment - not to mention lasting improvements in health and wellbeing.
This would be a community led development whereby surf lessons would be offered to all school and college pupils, run by locals. We would love to build a surf club, where villagers can enjoy spending time and a surf school could be developed to provide jobs and bring income, empowering the local community to enrich their lives.
The first phase of We Ride Waves - Ghana is to get some surfing equipment out to the villagers so that lessons can begin. The second phase is to set up a surf club, and a surf school so that locals can run a business.
Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
TEABAG is a small UK-registered charity, founded in 2008. It has no overheads (all seven Trustees fund their own expenses), so 100% of your donation will go directly to fund the operation of the college and support the schools and the villages where they are located.
