Hi, my name is Ashley, and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart after a devastating event in our home.

On July 16th, our basement was flooded with raw sewage due to a main sewer line backup. The damage was extensive — destroying flooring, furniture, and personal belongings, and leaving behind hazardous conditions.

We immediately contacted the city, but they have denied liability. To make matters worse, our homeowner’s insurance claim was also denied, leaving us to cover the entire cost out of pocket.

We’ve been quoted $75,000 for everything needed to safely restore our home, including:

Biohazard cleanup and sanitation

Replacing damaged flooring, drywall, and furnishings

Disposing of contaminated items

Dehumidifying and restoring the basement to a livable condition

This has been an incredibly difficult experience, but we are trying to stay strong and hopeful. We’re humbly asking for support from our community to help us get back on our feet. Every contribution — no matter how small — will help us move forward.
