My name is Sandra Simmons, and I started Our Forever Heart after experiencing the most heartbreaking loss a mother can endure. In July 2023, I lost my beloved son to a drunk driver. In the days and months that followed, I realized there was nowhere to turn for support. There are many organizations for families affected by gun violence, but when my tragedy happened, no one reached out — not a call, not a visit, not even a word of comfort. I felt completely alone in my grief.

That pain became my purpose. I founded Our Forever Heart so that no mother, father, or child ever has to grieve alone, no matter how their loved one left this earth. Our mission is to bring comfort, connection, and hope to families navigating loss — through love, remembrance, and community support.

This Christmas, I’m raising funds to help moms who have lost a child and children who have lost a parent. With your support, we can remind grieving families that love never dies — and that they are never alone.
