Imagine this:

You've spent countless days, restless - working to provide for you and your family. And right before the holidays, the days right before Christmas, you've reached your financial goal.

You've got your daughter, who happens to be on the spectrum, a communication tablet. A tablet in hopes to build her communication to make it easier for her.

And sure enough, for your other children, their preferred gifts for the holidays, a watch - a PC, and makeup for your cheerleader who wants to be a little extra festive this year.

But just when life had you feeling on top of the world, it was all snatched away in a flash.

One man willingly chose to steal the gifts, broke into your vehicle and took them - only to sell them for $200 in hopes to get his phone back that he had dropped.

Isn't that crazy? The value of his phone was worth gifts that would give the gift of a voice, and the gift of joy for young children.

If the thought of this infuriates you, imagine how much it has infuriated my sister, someone who is working each and every day to keep people alive as a nurse.

Please, let us give the gifts back - or even the value of, to let her try again.

Especially since, unfortunately, law enforcement will not take action. And have written it off as "well we've had a lot of break-ins recently."
