A child in our community in need

There is a child in our Bracebridge community who needs our help. This child was horribly neglected and abused in unfathomable ways.
To ensure anonymity of the child many of the details will remain private as the child goes to school in our community.
The appalling actions and behaviours of the parents left the child in dire need of being saved.
Sadly, the systems in place to help children in need, also repeatedly failed this child.
The child approached a woman in our community and shared some of the horrific things going on in the child’s home.
Without hesitating, like others had, this woman stepped in and saved the child.
In doing so the woman’s life was immediately flipped upside down. Her employment involved much travel and therefore she had to change careers leaving her temporarily unable to work while emergency court cases play out and rehabilitation of the child taking the bulk of her time as she is now the sole caretaker of this child.
Due to other system failures and lack of funding/support options for this situation, the woman has been left to support the child on her own with little to no financial help or assistance from the programs designed to help.
The financial strain saving this child has been debilitating.
Due to safety reasons the woman and child had to move out of the woman’s home and they have been staying at a safe seasonal location for the past few months. They now need a safe place to land for a few months while she organizes her finances.
We as a community need to help this woman, help this child.
I’m calling all my contacts to PLEASE help. Donate what you can.
Let’s pull together and step in for this woman, like she did for this child.
****thank you for any suggestions to reach out to community programs for support.
These options have been explored and used where applicable. Clothing and food needs are met. They simply need funds to help with a safe place to land for the winter months. Housing for summer months is taken care of****
