My name is Jana.

I am organizing this crowdfunding campaign to support a Senegalese family in developing their cashew farm.

I have known this family personally for several years and am familiar with their situation and the land.

My role is limited to communication and coordination, so that the family can focus on their work and responsibilities on the land.

What is missing is the basic infrastructure to turn this potential into a stable source of income.

This is Moctar Sawane.

He is responsible for supporting his family and managing the farm.

The Family & the Land

This campaign supports a Senegalese family with ten children.

Five of them currently live with Moctar, who takes responsibility for their daily needs and long-term future.

The family owns almost 1.5 hectares of land. The cashew trees were not planted as part of a commercial plantation – they grew naturally over time.

This land represents an opportunity for self-reliance, if it can be accessed and managed properly.

The Challenge

At the moment, the farm cannot be used to its full potential.

• The land is about 15 kilometers away from the family’s home

• There is no public transport to reach it

• There is no fence to protect the trees

• Basic farming tools are missing

Without these essentials, regular maintenance, harvesting and protection of the land are extremely difficult.

The Goal

The goal of this project is not charity, but independence.

With the right investments, the farm can provide a stable family income, reduce dependency on irregular work, and improve food security through additional fruit trees and small vegetable gardens.

How the Funds Will Be Used (Target: 7,000 €)

All donations will be used for practical and transparent investments:

• A used vehicle to reach the land and transport tools and harvest

• A fence to protect the cashew trees from animals and theft

• Basic farming tools, including a petrol-powered grass trimmer

• Planting fruit trees

• Creating small areas for vegetable farming

Every contribution helps turn existing land into a functioning, sustainable livelihood.

This project is about responsibility, dignity and long-term stability.
