Hi, my name is Doug, and I’m asking for help because I don’t currently have reliable transportation. Without a car, it’s incredibly difficult to stay consistent with work, medical appointments, and the basic responsibilities needed to rebuild my life.
A few years ago, I lost my job after developing severe foot and nerve issues that made standing and working unbearable. During that time, my mental and physical health declined, and I gained a significant amount of weight. Eventually, my car was repossessed.
Since then, I’ve been relying on my mother’s car. While I’m deeply grateful, it’s the only vehicle in our household, and I can’t use it as much as I need without putting wear and tear on something that isn’t mine. More importantly, if anything were to happen to it, both of us would be completely stuck — and my mom deserves better than that.
I’m trying to work again and rebuild stability, but without dependable transportation, I can’t reliably get to work, attend doctor’s appointments, or pursue job opportunities. Public transportation isn’t available where I live, and ride-share services aren’t financially sustainable on my limited income.
A used, reliable car would change everything. It would allow me to work more hours, keep medical appointments, and finally move forward instead of constantly falling behind.
Funds raised will go toward securing reliable transportation and related necessities that allow me to work, attend medical appointments, and rebuild stability.
I’m not asking for a luxury or a handout — I’m asking for the basic tool I need to survive and keep moving forward.
If you’re able to donate or share this, I’m truly grateful. You’re not just helping me get a car — you’re helping me rebuild my life.
