Hi there, I’m reaching out because I’m in a tough spot and could really use some help. I moved to Washington from Tampa to be closer to my daughter, Alice, after her mother moved her here. It’s been a long journey, and it’s been a challenge being so far from friends and family, but I’ve always pushed forward with the goal of giving Alice a stable, loving environment.
Unfortunately, things have taken a hard turn recently. Due to some unexpected events, my van, which I need for everything from work to taking Alice to school and doctor’s appointments, was towed. I had parked in a paid spot, but it was taken while I was in the middle of moving and low on cash. As a single father with no family or close really close friends in Washington to lean on this has been devastating.
I’ve tried everything I could to recover it, but it was auctioned off before I could come up with the funds.
Now, I’m left without a way to get around, and that makes life incredibly difficult. From getting groceries, to simply going to the park, to keeping up with the essentials to maintain our apartment—this car is necessary for our day-to-day life. I’ve been doing my best to get by, but without a vehicle, I’m struggling.
I’m asking for help to raise $5,000 so I can get a reliable minivan for Alice and me. We really need it to keep moving forward and make our lives better. I know everyone has their struggles, and I completely understand that. We’re doing everything we can, and I’m so grateful for any support. If you can help, it would mean the world to us.
In the past, Alice and I have always been kind, giving, and ready to help others when we could. We plan to continue that spirit of kindness and pay it forward as soon as we are able.
