Help Empower the ALATS Kenya Children's Dance Group with a Camera for Their Studio
Dear Friends, Supporters, and Fellow Believers in the Power of Music and Youth,
This summer, I have the incredible opportunity to support a remarkable group of young people in Nairobi, Kenya — the ALATS Children’s Dance Group from New Song Fellowship, a church located in the heart of the Mukuru slums.
These children live in incredibly challenging circumstances. Yet, in the face of poverty and adversity, they’ve discovered a powerful outlet: dance, music, and faith.
Through their performances — dancing, singing, and rapping — they are spreading a message of hope, faith, and perseverance. They are using their God-given talents to rise above their environment and inspire others. For them, music isn’t just a hobby — it’s a lifeline, a way to stay away from harmful influences and instead channel their energy into something beautiful, positive, and uplifting.
I’ve personally committed to donating a computer, keyboard, audio interface, speakers, and other equipment to help them set up a functioning music studio. But there’s one critical piece missing:
A high-quality video camera.
We live in a visual era, where platforms like TikTok and YouTube can amplify voices around the world. For these young artists to share their stories and their faith, they need to be seen — not just heard. A professional camera will allow them to film their performances, share their testimony, and build a digital presence that could open doors none of us can yet imagine.
That’s where you come in.
I’m asking for your help to raise the funds needed to purchase this camera before I travel to Kenya this summer. Your donation will directly support these young artists and give them the tools to share their message far beyond the walls of their church.
And in the spirit of true giving, I want to challenge you — not just to give, but to match the level of sacrifice that I’m committing by setting up their studio. Whether it’s $25, $100, or more, your generosity will go directly to something tangible, something transformative, something lasting.
Let’s help these kids shine. Let’s give them the chance to be seen.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you for your support, your prayers, and your belief in the power of music, faith, and community.
