Hi my name is Isabella, I am raising money for my brother Lloyd. At 34, Lloyd is in the fight of his life. He is currently in hospital in an induced coma, battling a severe brain and spine infection that has led to sepsis and meningitis. Doctors are unsure of the source, but it may have stemmed from the medical devices that have been essential to his survival over the years. His condition is critical, and due to fluid build-up, he is struggling to take in oxygen, making every day a terrifying uncertainty.

This is tragically not Lloyd's first monumental battle. At just 18 years old, a devastating car accident left him paralyzed from the waist down due to a spinal cord injury. Despite this life-altering trauma, Lloyd demonstrated an immense will to live. He endured years of intense spasms that threw him from his chair, eventually requiring a baclofen pump to be fitted into his spinal cord for relief. Two years ago, he faced another crisis—a cyst on his spinal cord threatened to paralyze him from the shoulders down. He underwent major surgery to install a shunt to drain the cyst, an intervention that saved his full mobility but left him with permanently limited movement and feeling in his left hand.

Lloyd is, without a doubt, the most caring, kind, and generous person we know. Despite being dealt an unfair hand of struggles, he has consistently powered through with a strength that inspires all of us. He is an undeserving soul going through too much, and watching him fight this latest, life-threatening infection is truly heartbreaking.

Lloyd has always refused to ask for help, but at this critical stage, we are setting aside his reservations and begging for your support. We are raising funds to give him a future that is as comfortable and fulfilling as possible when he wakes up—a future that is currently not promised.
