A Call for Support from Ward Employees and Family for Brooke Holt and Her Growing Family

Hi everyone,

My name is Amanda, and I’m reaching out to share a situation that’s very close to home. Many of you know our colleague, Brooke, who is expecting a beautiful baby boy any day now. Brooke has always been deeply committed to both her family and her work family here at Ward PH&A. Her original plan was to work up until her delivery and return to work as quickly as possible to help ensure her family’s well-being.

Unfortunately, Brooke has encountered some unforeseen complications during her pregnancy, meaning she won’t be able to return to work as soon as she hoped. Her husband Kenny, their daughter Petra—who just turned six—and their soon-to-arrive baby boy are all eagerly awaiting this new chapter, but this journey has been much more difficult than anticipated. Brooke now faces an extended recovery period.

For those of us who know Brooke, we know how selfless, loyal, and hardworking she is. She’s the kind of person who is always there for others, never asking for anything in return. That’s why, in light of her current circumstances, I’m reaching out to ask for your support. As her work family, I believe we can come together to help alleviate some of the burdens she and her family are facing, allowing her to focus on what truly matters—her health and her family’s well-being.

I’ve started this GoFundMe campaign to help ease the financial strain Brooke and her family are dealing with while she’s out of work. Any contribution, big or small, will go a long way in helping lighten their load during this challenging time. Brooke is incredibly humble and would never ask for help herself, but I know that together, we can make a difference for her and her family. I understand that we are all facing unique challenges, especially in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, but if you’re able to contribute anything at all, it will be deeply appreciated. Your kindness and generosity will go a long way in helping this wonderful family.

At this time, Brooke and Kenny are still unsure of what additional medical procedures she or the baby may need after delivery, making an already complicated situation even more uncertain. While I won’t go into further details out of respect for her privacy, I can assure you that they could really use our support right now.

I’m only sharing this within our Ward Family for the moment, as I’m not sure how Brooke or her husband would feel about a public appeal. I’ve seen this team come together to do amazing things for our work family in the past, and I have no doubt that we can do the same for Brooke. Let’s show her that she’s not alone in this and show her that her work family has her back.
