A Call for Help – Supporting a Fellow Veteran in Crisis
Hello everyone,
My name is Stephen Yoda, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a deep sense of duty. I am on a mission to support my brother in arms, Bradley, whose family is facing an unimaginable hardship.
On the morning of September 24th, at approximately 10:15 AM, a sudden and violent thunderstorm struck Central Texas. Lightning hit Bradley’s chimney, and the surge tore through the back of his home, causing extensive damage and igniting a fire. Thanks to Bradley’s quick thinking, his family escaped unharmed—but their home did not.
Bradley and his wife are both Army Combat Veterans, with a combined 28 years of honorable service. Now, they find themselves displaced, living in an Airbnb with their teenage child and beloved dogs. They’ve had to take time off work to manage insurance claims and search for temporary housing. It may be months before they can return to their home.
I served alongside Bradley. He is not only a loyal soldier but a man of integrity, compassion, and strength. He’s never been one to ask for help—but this time, he reached out to me. And now, I’m asking you.
Bradley needs support to cover living expenses, food, and basic care for his family. If you are able to donate, please know that your contribution will go directly toward helping a veteran rebuild his life. If you cannot donate, sharing this message and the GoFundMe link is just as valuable.
It takes courage to serve. It takes even more to ask for help. Let’s show Bradley and his family that they are not alone.
With gratitude,
Sgt. Stephen Yoda
