A Call for Help

Over the past week, Bali has been hit with severe rainfall. For travellers, it may have spoiled a holiday, but for the people who call this island home, it has destroyed livelihoods.

Our very own Kanda and his family have been deeply affected. Their home was inundated with 1.5m of water, destroying everything they owned — their car, motorbikes, electronics, bedding, and even their 5-year-old son’s toys. Thankfully, they are safe and healthy, but they have lost nearly everything else.

We’ve already managed to sort a new mattress, fridge, and some toys, but there is still a long road ahead to help get this family back on their feet.

We are raising funds to support Kanda and his family in rebuilding their lives. Every dollar will go directly towards essentials and helping them recover. Think new bedsheets, Furniture and even things as small as toiletries. Literaly everything was damaged in muddy contaiminated water.

Additionally, for the entire month of September, a portion of all revenue from burgers sold at Burger Head in Bali will be donated on top of what we have already given. So even if you can’t contribute directly, simply coming in for a burger will still make a difference.

This is a truly devastating situation for so many Balinese families, and any help — big or small — will go a long way.
