We are not usually one to do this kind of thing but we will do anything to help our daughter.
Simona was born in 2010, with a Metopic Synostosis (Trigonocephaly...malformation of her cranial structure).In April of 2011 she went through a surgery to correct this malformation. It was already known that Simona showed very big signs of a Global Delay & an Intellectual Deficiency . Soon after recovering from surgery Simona has assisted many therapies such as Physio therapy, Occupational Therapy, Language therapy and followed by an ABA clinic.
Unfortunately with all these therapies Simona has shown little improvement.At the age of 7 she still struggles with so many milestones.
Everyday is a challenge in our family as Simona needs support from us and her two teen sisters to live her daily life. Her sisters are two amazing and selfless teens who have given up alot of their opportunities to support us with Simona and her daily struggles.
Our family has been dedicated to ongoing Private therapies since Simona was 18 months old due to the lack of programs and financial support from our government.
After many months of research we have been given hope with stem cell therapy which will be administered overseas in Ukraine. The cost of treatment is over 25k...but we believe that this specific treatment may bring Simona a brighter future and any little development would be priceless to us.
