Every child deserves to feel seen, loved, and celebrated — even those without a home.

Each year on September 22nd, People In Need Agency (PINA Uganda) organizes a special group birthday party for over 100 homeless children living in Katanga slum — one of the most vulnerable communities in Uganda’s capital.

This year, we are raising $2,000 to make the 2025 celebration a day of joy, love, and unforgettable memories. The funds will go towards:

Birthday cakes

Gift packs

Hot meals and drinks

Party decorations and music

Fun games and entertainment

Why It Matters

Many of the children we support have never had their own bed, let alone their own birthday party. For them, life is a constant struggle — poverty, hunger, abandonment. But on this one day, they get to forget all that. They get to feel like children again — joyful, excited, and seen.

We believe that a birthday party can be more than a celebration — it can be a symbol of hope in a sea of despair. It reminds each child: You are loved. You matter. You are not forgotten.
