A bike for Greg Durso!
Donation protected
On June 8th, Greg Durso's car and Reactive Adaptations Hammerhead adaptive mountain bike were stolen at an automotive shop in Burlington, Vermont. The car was later recovered, but his bike was not. Greg's bike was custom-made for him, so replacing it will be quite an undertaking. Adaptive mountain bikes are generally twice the cost (or more) compared to regular two-wheeled mountain bikes and take much time and effort to build. The Kelly Brush Foundation is supporting this effort with a contribution of $7,000 because of the work Greg does leading camps and programming from the seat of his bike as well as what he means to the KBF team and to the adaptive sports community as a whole.
If you don't know Greg Durso, he is an all-around extraordinary human being who does so much for the mountain biking, adaptive athlete, and spinal cord injury (SCI) communities. He also uses his bike regularly for his job as the Program Director for the Kelly Brush Foundation, where he works to provide access to adaptive equipment and programs for the SCI community. He has also been teaming up with the Vermont Mountain Bike Association to help local trail organizations make their trails more accessible to adaptive riders of all abilities.
If Greg's bike is recovered in salvageable condition, funds raised by this GoFundMe will be refunded. Let's help Greg get back on a bike as soon as possible!
