This year, for her birthday, our daughter has chosen to do something incredibly selfless.

Instead of asking for presents, she has decided to donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust — a charity that provides real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer and other medical conditions.

She has been growing her hair for a long time, knowing that one day she would cut it for a cause bigger than herself. Now that moment has arrived.

For many children, losing their hair during treatment can be one of the most difficult parts of their journey. It affects confidence, identity, and self-esteem. A real hair wig is not just about appearance — it restores confidence, normality, and a sense of strength.

What many people don’t realise is that while hair donations are incredibly generous, it costs the charity around £700 to make just one wig.

That’s why, alongside donating her hair, she wants to raise funds to help support the amazing work they do.
