Piper came to me over a year ago and said she wanted to cut her hair and give it to a school friend who was losing hers because she was poorly. As a family we wanted to support and encourage her while also being cautious that this is a big thing to do and she may change her mind. Well, here we are over a year later and Piper is as adamant as ever to do it!

We’re raising money for The Little Princess Trust, an incredible charity that provides free, real-hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer. These wigs help restore not just hair, but confidence and identity—and the charity also funds vital research into childhood cancers.

As part of this, JJ will be cutting off his hair to donate it to the Trust, and we thought it would be a great opportunity to raise money alongside it.

As you may know 3 years ago, Isla decided she wanted to grow her hair to donate to children with cancer. At the time she donated 10 inches of hair and raised over £450 for Little Princess Trust.

3 years on, with even more hair; she would like to do it again and top her total from last time.

My beautiful daughter Sara who’s 6 is taking a brave and meaningful step by donating her hair to The Little Princess Trust towards the beginning of may, helping children who have lost their hair due to illness.

She has always loved having long hair and has only ever had small trims to keep it healthy. To donate, she needs to cut at least 30 cm which is a big change for her. Letting go of something she’s so proud of hasn’t been easy, but she knows it will make a difference to someone else.

Her family are so proud of her kindness and courage. Any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and will help bring confidence and smiles to children who need it most.

Each wig made by The Little Princess Trust costs around £700, so alongside donating her hair, Sara is hoping to raise funds to support their incredible work.

Our 9-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, has been growing her hair for a long time — and it’s now incredibly long (even longer than in the first photo we’ve shared from last September!).

She made the brave and selfless decision last year, to cut her hair and donate it to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment and other medical conditions.

Elizabeth said she wants to help another child “have nice hair.”

While donating hair is amazing, the charity also needs financial donations to help cover the cost of making each wig, which can cost hundreds of pounds to produce.

So alongside her big haircut, we’re hoping to raise funds to support the Little Princess Trust in continuing their incredible work.

Carter has been growing his hair for a long time — and it’s now reached all the way down his back! After lots battles trying to brush and style it ( and being sick on being called a girl) he’s decided he’d like to do something really special with it.

He’ll be having it all cut off and donating it to The Little Princess Trust, a wonderful charity that provides real-hair wigs to children who have lost their hair due to illness.

We are incredibly proud of him for choosing to do something so kind and thoughtful. At his age, to understand that he can help other children feel more confident and like themselves again means so much to us.

Alongside donating his hair, we’re hoping to raise some money to support the amazing work the charity does. The cost of making these wigs is high, and every donation helps them continue to provide them free of charge to families who need them.

Hi my name is Jade

I am raising money for the Princess Trust again. I cut my hair for this amazing charity a few years ago and want to do it again. I will be having 10 inches chopped off at La Beaute hair salon on 2nd May and would be grateful for any donations.

It costs The Little Princess Trust £700 to provide one child or young person with a real hair wig and we currently help around 2,000 children every year.

The Little Princess Trust also funds childhood cancer research and, since 2016, has supported 158 projects searching for kinder and more effective treatments.

This all means that every pound you raise really helps us give Hair and Hope to many children and young people with cancer.
