Hi, my name is Jen ❤️I’m reaching out on behalf of my family as a single mother, as we navigate a major life change for someone very dear to us—our daughter, Madelyn.
Madelyn is 22 years old and lives with Dravet Syndrome, a rare and severe form of epilepsy that has impacted every aspect of her life since infancy. Despite the challenges, Madelyn is a bright light—resilient, kind-hearted, and deeply loved.
As Madelyn enters adulthood, her medical and support needs have become more complex. Unfortunately, the services available in our current community are no longer sufficient to provide her the care she deserves. After extensive research and consultation with her team, we’ve found that relocating from where we currently live. This will give her access to a much broader range of specialized care, therapies, and long-term support services tailored to young adults with complex neurological conditions.
However, moving a household—especially one built around full-time caregiving—is expensive. From securing accessible housing to covering moving costs, travel, deposits, and temporary out-of-pocket medical expenses during the transition, the financial burden is more than we can manage alone.
We are humbly asking for your support to help us raise as much as possible, so we can make this vital move and ensure Madelyn continues to receive the care and quality of life she needs and deserves.
If you can’t give, please consider sharing our story with your friends and community. Your support—financial or otherwise—means the world to us.
Thank you for helping us give Madelyn the best chance at a healthier, safer, and more supported future.
