A beautiful mother and her four children

I am currently volunteering in a very small English school in the Cambodian countryside close to Siem Reap. Since being here I have been overwhelmed with the kindness and determination of the teachers and the lovely students here.

This precious little boy, Mesa, being the eldest of the four children, is the babysitter of his two younger sisters and baby brother. To be able for his mother to go to work and for him to continue his education, he has to bring the baby into his classes. He is such a determined and hard-working child and will nurture his little brother whilst learning.

After one of the local teachers posted on Facebook about this family's situation, the local community decided to raise money. They have already gotten together 500USD, which is already an incredible help for this single mother to afford food, medical help and other basic expenses.

After seeing this community's kindness and willing to give, despite their own financial situations, I was inspired. Even donating a couple dollars can allow this mother to buy baby formula and rice. On Saturday the money we raise and the money raised by the village will be given directly to the mother.
