3 month old ❤️zekiah’s❤️ battle with Kawasaki

Hi, My name is Hayden & I am doing this on behalf of my sister (Samantha) & her partner (Reggie) because they are going through something that no parent should endure.

My little nephew Zekiah who is only 3 months old has been in hospital fighting a nasty disease called “Kawasaki disease”.

This disease is attacking his coronary arteries. Which has now caused severe anuerisms. He has echos, ultrasounds ecgs every 48 hours. All delivering more bad news.

His first stage of treatment was IVIG, that failed. Next was infleximab, which to also failed. Last line of treatment was Anakinra, or last glimmer of hope again.. failed.

Now we are in uncharted territory and they have now started him on chemotherapy hoping it may give a result.

Everyday we celebrate him hoping for a good day of news and results. Unfortunately after a long 3 weeks we're still waiting on some good news.

This disease is not common across Australia, especially at the young age of 3 months. So unfortunately it’s trial and error at this point.

This poor boy is just a baby and is fighting every minute of every day to stay here with us.

The reason I have created this fundraiser is not just for zekiah but for my brother in law & my sister.

There other child Maverick who is 2 is currently living at our father's and keeps asking when his brother will be home :(

On top of this Samantha and Reggie had to say their goodbyes to their daughter only a short 18 months ago. I couldn't begin to imagine the fear and worry in their hearts going through this.

I could keep writing all night about what our family has gone through but I hope I have fit enough in to be able to reach out for help we just want our Zekiah home and well.

Zekiah will hopefully be home soon recovering, he will need medication to continue his recovery journey and regular hospital visits to ensure his staying on the path to recovery.
