New home for Yoga Loka
Donation protected
Yoga Loka needs a new home. The move we made back in May of 2016 was intended to be temporary. Unfortunately, the landlord was not able to accomplish what he thought he could and the plans for a more expansive permanent space fell through. The space we are currently using, while adequate, has too many problems to be a permanent home for Yoga Loka. A lease for a new space has been signed, but permits, regulations, building costs, architects and lawyers are proving much more costly than anticipated.
Yoga Loka has been a community space for the past 14 years. You have built it into what it is today through your attendance, your commitment to the practice of yoga and your kindness. Ever since I started Yoga Loka in 2003 I have known this was much bigger than just a business. I have always seen my role as a steward of the teachings I have had the great blessings to have received in my life, and I am so very fortunate to continue to share this with the community. Now faced with this move, and related expenses, I am asking for your continued help to build this community with donations.
Your financial assistance will allow the work to be done to create a great space. It will allow me to be able to take the time needed to get all the permits, drawings and technical stuff taken care of without bearing the high cost of two rents. It will allow me to create a clean, quiet self-contained location for our community, to continue to gather together for peaceful exchanges, growing friendships, stronger and more vibrant minds and bodies.
Anything you might be able to contribute, $10 or $20, helping with the move, good wishes, even just a hug, will all be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
