My name is Hash Tayeh.

For the past several years, I have been at the centre of a relentless legal, financial, and personal battle arising from my advocacy, public commentary, and outspoken views on issues I believe matter.

What began as a statement that sparked public controversy has evolved into multiple legal proceedings, significant financial strain, and ongoing attempts to silence and punish lawful expression.

Recently, a Tribunal handed down orders against me following a finding of unlawful conduct. The orders include financial penalties, publication requirements, and restrictions on future speech. While I respect the legal system and the rule of law, I strongly disagree with aspects of the decision and am actively considering my appeal options.

This fight is no longer just about me.

It raises important questions about freedom of expression, political speech, public debate, and where the line should be drawn between disagreement and censorship. Regardless of where people stand on the issues themselves, every Australian should be concerned when legal action is used to punish speech and public opinion.

The reality is that defending yourself through courts and tribunals is incredibly expensive. The costs have been overwhelming. Between legal fees, expert advice, lost business opportunities, and the personal toll this process has taken, the burden has been enormous.
