Delivering Hope: Water for Wildfire Families
Donation protected
Imagine surviving a wildfire only to find yourself without access to safe drinking water. Thousands of families in California are facing this harsh reality. We, Movers of Pennsylvania LLC, believe it’s our duty to step up, transport hope, and deliver life-saving water to communities that desperately need it—but we can’t do it alone.
We are Movers of Pennsylvania LLC, a family-owned moving company dedicated to moving what matters most. While we specialize in logistics and transport, our commitment to service goes beyond business. We want to use our fleet and expertise to deliver thousands of gallons of clean drinking water to California wildfire victims—at no cost to them. We will provide the trucks, labor, and logistics, but we need your help to acquire the water.
We are Movers of Pennsylvania LLC, with a DNA to serve. We have a strong passion for community involvement, we have a great track record in our local community. Our company is based in Pittsburgh, PA but we have decided to dedicate a few trucks to go to California to help, because if our state was in that position we would need help too.
Community Support: Donation Partnerships - We donated $246.827.34!
We have partnered with ReSupply over the past 2 years to provide pickup of household furniture and office furniture, equipment and supplies donated by residential donors and business entities. These items are then delivered to local donation centers like Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity and Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Thrift Store. These local entities are then able to offer support to the less fortunate who have been impacted by various natural disasters or other life changing difficulties. It is through these initiatives that we are able to provide a service that fosters community support.
Medical Assistance for the sick and elderly
We currently provide medical assistance to the sick, elderly and persons with disabilities through the delivery and installation or medical equipment from Philips Lifeline. These devices are medical alert systems that connects users to operators 24/7 in case of emergency. We have witnessed firsthand how beneficial these devices are to the users. So far, we have delivered, installed, and serviced over 150! It is not always about financial gain. It’s about the people who have gone before us to pave the way. They deserve care and protection. Delivery of medical lifeline equipment, installation, and servicing so that they can have emergency medical assistance at the touch of a button.
Sustainability Initiatives: Reducing Landfill Trips
The benefits to be gained from reducing landfill trips are environmental, economic and social. We are committed to being a part of sustainable initiatives that will have a positive impact. In our line of work we have, and pledge to continue to reduce our trips to the dump/landfill. We also have, and continue to encourage donation centers to repurpose as much items as possible. We also currently sort electronics, batteries and chemicals and take to the appropriate recycling and disposal centers. Since 2021, we have reduced our trips to the dump, and as a result, we have saved over 14 tons of items that would otherwise be dumped. In 2022 we made 37 trips to the dump, this was decreased to 35 in 2023, saving over 4 tons from the city landfill. In 2024 we’ve made 30 trips, that accumulative decline accounts for an additional 10 tons of items saved from the landfill. We are projecting that in 2025 our trip will further reduce to 25, totaling 20 tons.
Please join us in bringing relief, hope, and clean water to families who have lost everything. No contribution is too small—every drop counts. Thank you for being part of this mission to make a difference. Together, we can move more than goods—we can move hearts and restore lives.
