Saimaruhan (Sai) Paramaraksagapalan and his team (committee member - World Tamil Chess Federation) , Trustee (Lotus Caring Hands) is raising funds to promote chess developments and conducting tournaments in Srilanka

Walk for Chess - every move counts and every pound (£) donation matters. Chess is a fun mental workout for our children to unlock brilliance!

WTCF (World Tamil Chess Federation) is hosting their 3rd Annual Rapid Open Chess Tournament in London on the 23rd March 2025 with the support of Lotus Caring Hands and londontournaments.com.

15th Mar 2025 - Saturday

An easy 7 mile circular walk around the hills and surroundings of the triangle of Brent, Harrow and Greenford.

We start in Sudbury Hill and descending to Horsenden Hill where we will be visiting the Gruffalo for tea. We will then ascend again to the top of Harrow on the Hill and all its refinery. We will see the famous Harrow School and historic 12th century St Marys Church where we can see a memorial to Lord Byron. Then back down the hill to some hidden orchards and scenic views over London. Finish at starting point where we can go for a refreshing drink at Black Horse.
Refreshments - Bring a snack and drinks.

Travel - Nearest station Sudbury Hill (Piccadilly line), 6 minutes from start.

Free parking in nearby streets. Bus 92 will take you to the pub.
Start - 12:30 noon prompt outside Black Horse pub, Harrow Road, Wembley, HAO 2QP
