Hello friends,

My name is Louis Rogowski, and I’m reaching out with a heartfelt mission that means everything to me. I recently lost my beloved wife, Violeta, after 55 years together—a woman whose life was defined by resilience, generosity, and love.

Violeta’s journey began in Ecuador, where she faced unimaginable hardship and abuse. Forced into a marriage as a teenager, she held on only for her children’s sake. But when she came to America, she found freedom and the chance to become her truest self. Here, she flourished—becoming a nurse, beautician, gardener, dancer, mother, grandmother, and so much more. Through every trial, Violeta radiated strength and kindness. To me, she was always “The Queen of Resilience.”

In Violeta’s honor, I’ve partnered with the Center for Family Justice (CFJ) in Bridgeport, CT. CFJ helps thousands of survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse rebuild their lives—but the need for support is overwhelming. Far too many are turned away because resources simply don’t stretch far enough.

That’s why I’m launching this fundraiser to help CFJ expand its services and launch Cornerstone Residences—a first-of-its-kind affordable housing project offering shelter, support, and hope for survivors and their families.

Our goals:

• Phase 1: Raise $1 million to help CFJ reach more people in urgent need.

• Phase 2: Raise $20 million for Cornerstone Residences, a safe place where survivors can truly start again.

Violeta always wanted her story kept private, but now, I believe her journey can inspire others to keep going, to survive, and to thrive. Just days ago, violets bloomed all over our garden—a sign that she is still with me, cheering us on.

With your help, we can make sure no survivor is turned away. We can build a living legacy of hope, healing, and second chances, all in Violeta’s name.
