My story:
I am extremely blessed to have found Physical Therapy as a way to express my passion for helping people - which gives me energy and purpose. I am honored to be a part of an upcoming medical mission and would greatly appreciate your help!
From May 16-24, 2015, I will be embarking on a service learning medical mission trip to Costa Rica. Over the one-week mission, I will volunteer at various outpatient physical therapy settings and work with patients ranging from infants to geriatrics. While the majority of the population at the clinics will present with work labor related injuries, there is a wide spectrum of patients who will need special orthopedic and neurologic care.
A major concern is cost. Luckily, USC PT is currently raising funds to possibly cover the airfare of each student. However, I am still in need of $1,795 to account for housing, transportation, translators, staff etc. I understand it is a lot to ask, but I would really appreciate your support!
