Every day, families lose pets they love. Sometimes a dog gets loose, a cat disappears, or an animal becomes trapped or lost in an area that is nearly impossible to search on foot.

That’s where **USAR Drone Team** comes in.

We are a **Veteran-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation** dedicated to using drone technology to help people and animals in their time of need. Our volunteer team conducts search and rescue missions for lost pets and wildlife, often on an almost daily basis.

For many people, a pet isn't just a pet. **It is family.**

For an elderly person living alone, that dog or cat may be their closest companion. For a child, it may be their best friend. When that animal disappears, the fear, heartbreak, and helplessness can be overwhelming.

We believe that **someone's financial situation should never determine whether we try to help find their beloved pet.**

That is why we try to help families experiencing financial hardship whenever we can, and we especially want to be there for elderly pet owners who may not have the resources to pay for a search.

### But keeping this service available isn't free.

Our volunteers donate their **time, knowledge, and experience**, but the equipment we use is expensive.

Thermal drones, batteries, computers, cameras, insurance, maintenance, fuel, training, and other equipment are all necessary to keep our search team operational and ready to deploy.

**Our volunteers do not get paid. Every hour they spend helping someone is donated.**

Your donation helps us keep the equipment operational and allows us to respond when someone calls because their family member is missing.
