Ensure Safe Jewish Graduation for Class of 2024

We are Tikva, Ariella, Zoe, Talia and Aaron - graduating Jewish Bruins who are organizing Jewish Graduation at UCLA (June 16th!). We urgently need your help to guarantee a safe graduation, free of anti-Zionist disruption, this year and for future Jewish Bruins.

The Class of 2024 has been through enough. We are the students whose high school graduations were canceled due to the pandemic. We are the students who began college in remote learning and we are the students who are ending virulent Jewish exclusion in our final year on campus.

Across the country, college graduation ceremonies have been subjected to heinous disruptions and cancellations. Stemming from the infamous anti-Zionist campus activism, the unfurling of banners mid-ceremony and commencement addresses that focus primarily on vilifying Israel and campus systems of rule and order have made Jewish graduates and their honored guests feel radically uncomfortable (to the point that they have to leave the event).

We will NOT risk having one more formative experience be tempered by circumstances out of our control. JEWISH GRADUATION WILL PREVAIL. Whether UCLA will successfully host graduation ceremonies that are free of anti-Zionist disruption is out of our hands, but ensuring a graduation ritual for Jewish Seniors is something we guarantee.
