Christmas for the Truetts
Donation protected
For those who have had the pleasure of working with Chris Truett, I know we all would agree, there are few more enjoyable people to be around.
Chris and his family of eight now face one of life's most difficult challenges. Their daughter Caitlynne is currently recovering from brain surgery and will begin the next phase in a long battle with brain cancer. This type of cancer is a particularly aggressive requiring extensive and possibly life impacting procedures.
Amidst this battle, the Truetts are in the process of moving while also preparing for the holidays. We would like to take this opportunity to help Chris and Jenn minimize travel, food and other related expenses with an extended hospital stay so that the family can have time to focus on creating as enjoyable a holiday as possible for the entire family.
Considering the numerous challenges they face, Caitlynne and the Truett family continue to be an inspiration to those around them. With an unbridled sense of hope and positivity, Caitlynne has made great strides in her recovery and she regularly brings both smiles and tears of joy to the staff at Children’s Hospital. Her brothers and big sister often visit the hospital offering the love and support needed to make it through this challenge and thankfully, they have a wonderful support network around them.
In addition to this GoFundMe site, we will be sending around a card in the office if you would like to write a personal message to the Truetts. For more information please contact Jeff Feliton.
Given the severity of this disease, it's surprising to find how few charities there are related to pediatric brain cancer. Caitlynne will be participating in a special trial at St. Jude's Hospital in Dallas. If you would prefer to donate to charity, every dollar goes to helping kids with a variety of illnesses at St. Jude's and you can donate at: https://www.stjude.org/donate-now
