Help us feed and support those in need while purchasing food from local vendors and restaurants who are desperately trying to survive and feed their own families.
For those of you who know me, thanks for visiting my GoFundMe page and supporting my campaign. For those of you who don’t know me, I would like to take this time to introduce myself, and share my story, which leads me to my cause.
My name is Trina Montemayor and I have spent the last 17 years working for and managing a wonderful group of people at a company named OrderCorner. This company started as a web based business where a client could order food for corporate and professional groups of 10 or more. We worked with many different restaurants and caterers in the Houston and surrounding markets to order, coordinate, deliver and set up food requests. During my tenure there, I found myself adapting our business model to the ever changing needs of the industries we served and the clientele that we came to love and enjoy. In March, the owners made the very heartfelt decision to close its doors due to the pandemic.
So many of my clients reached out to me and personally praised the work of my team and said they did not know what they were going to do without us once the workplace returned to some sense of normalcy. With that type of support, the next decision was very easy. I opened Trina’s Concierge and Catering (TCC). We are currently operating at a very minimal level and have adapted to the current environment taking every precaution to keep our drivers safe. The business concept is the same in that we coordinate and deliver food to professional environments. In effort to adapt to the current state of the world we all live in and new customer needs, we also coordinate and deliver other items and necessities per request. While we are operating at a very minimal level, we ARE operating and I thought, why not use our talents to feed those with a critical need? Under normal circumstances we would donate to these critical need groups. However, without any profits that’s not something we have the ability to do on a mass level. This is where the GoFundMe campaign comes in to play and your support is needed.
My GoFundMe has a starting goal of $25k. The plan is to continue accepting donations to feed as many people as possible in a critical need category. All funds and proceeds will go directly to the processing, purchase and delivery of meals for anyone that falls into a critical need category: First responders, testing sites, homeless, elderly, and nursing homes, just to name a few. Basically, anyone that is on the front lines or that does not have the means to feed themselves. Not only am I asking for your support in donations, but also to provide nominees for meals. At the end of the day, we are simply looking to use our talents and time to feed others in need. Remember there is no amount too small or too large and all nominees will be considered for meal requests.
Thanks in advance for helping us make this a success!
