About me
Sawasdee kha!
Hi, I’m Sophie, a 21-year-old Graphic Design student in my second year at Northumbria University. I’m excited to share that I’ve been accepted onto the Think Pacific Global Team Internship in Chiang Mai, Thailand, taking place in August 2025. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to volunteer abroad, collaborate with local communities and contribute to real social impact projects.
For 4 weeks, I will be I’ll be collaborating with local social enterprises and NGOs on meaningful, hands-on projects that support sustainable development. I’ll be contributing to real-world impact through initiatives like marketing campaigns, awareness programmes, and sustainability planning, while gaining experience in leadership, project management and cross-cultural teamwork.
Aims of the program
The Think Pacific Global Team Internship aims to provide students with a unique volunteering experience that combines meaningful social impact, professional development, and cultural immersion. Through hands-on collaboration with local social enterprises and NGOs in Chiang Mai, participants develop essential global skills like leadership, project management, and cross-cultural teamwork while contributing to sustainable development projects. The programme fosters personal growth by challenging interns to step outside their comfort zones, engage deeply with Thai culture, and build resilience, confidence, and adaptability—all within a supportive team environment that encourages adventure, learning, and community connection.
