But here’s my true mission: I want to provide a safe house for people who have been deported or self deport. A place where they can stay temporarily, have food, feel safe, and get back on their feet until they find work and permanent housing. I’m asking everyone — friends, family, strangers, even MAGA — to help me make this dream a reality. If I can raise enough to rent a house for a year, that’s amazing.

About me: I have a college degree with honors. I spent 10 years as a special education teacher, 6 years as a career coach for refugees, and 4 years helping undocumented immigrants. This is who I am — this is my calling. I’m ready to take this step and dedicate my life to it.

I have been granted permission by a generous family to use their 4 bedroom house at no cost. It’s 1.5 hr outside Juarez México. I just  have to pay utilities! The monthly goal is $3,000. This should cover utilities, food, transportation, clothing or other supplies for people. I promise to post daily to share the success of those being helped. I’m trying to raise $15-20k. I need to buy a van to transport people to work and to pick them up from the border. Also, I need food and supplies to care for as many people as possible.  I want to make sure I can move to México and start housing and transporting people on day one. 

I’m asking people to donate only $5 monthly and to ask friends and family to do the same. This GoFundMe will launch the mission and help cover ongoing monthly costs like rent, utilities, food, and transportation. Together, we can create a safe home for amazing people hurt by deportations.
