This past weekend, our family’s world was shattered and Tim’s life changed in an instant when he was struck by an impaired driver. He is the sole provider for Cassandra and their 7-year-old daughter, Briella, and now faces a long road to recovery.
“How am I going to feed my daughter? Pay rent?”
That’s what our sister pleaded when her husband, Tim Clark, was struck by a grossly impaired 26-year-old woman. He was crossing the road as a pedestrian. She ruined his life while preserving her own behind the wheel of a vehicle she neglected to be responsible for.
Tim is one of the most hardworking and honest men you’ll ever meet. He has built his life brick by brick, literally, as a skilled mason who has always provided for his family through sheer determination and grit. He is a devoted husband to our sister Cassandra and a loving father to Briella.
Tim was struck by a drunk driver while walking as a pedestrian. He suffered devastating injuries. His ribs were cracked. He had an emergency craniotomy due to brain swelling. He has had multiple brain bleeds due to the trauma sustained from being struck by a vehicle as a pedestrian. The doctors are keeping him stable… for now.
His recovery will be long, painful, and uncertain.
Even worse, doctors have warned that he may never be able to return to the physically demanding work of masonry—the very work he has relied on to provide for his family.
Tim is the unnamed victim in these reports:

Right now, Tim cannot work, and as the sole provider for Cassandra and Briella, this has left their family in crisis.
• Tim’s medical bills are already climbing into the tens of thousands, even after insurance.
• Without Tim’s income, the family is struggling to cover rent, utilities, food, and basic living expenses.
• Cassandra is doing everything she can to care for Tim and keep life as normal as possible for little Briella, but they cannot do this alone.
This GoFundMe is to help keep a roof over their heads, food on their table, and cover critical medical and living expenses while Tim focuses on healing and the family prepares for an uncertain future.
Tim has always been the first to help others — never asking for anything in return. Now, he needs us.
Any amount helps — please support this family during their darkest time.
Whether it’s a cash donation or simply sharing this page, every act of kindness will help to lift this crushing burden and give Tim the chance to heal without the fear of financial ruin hanging over his family.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, donating, praying, and sharing this. Your support means more to our family than words can ever express.
With much gratitude,
Leigh & Ben
Some thoughts from Tim’s loved ones.
God blessed me and my late wife with two wonderful daughters, Leigh and Cassandra. As we watched them grow, we prayed that they would meet a young man who would love them and care for them as we did. Fortunately, our prayers were answered. Leigh married Ben and Cassandra married Tim. Ben and Tim have always been very much the same in many respects. They have always worked hard, enjoyed the quiet times with their families, and shown my grandchildren, love, patience, and understanding.
Right now, Cassandra, Tim, and Briella are confronted with the most critical challenges imaginable. In fact, as I write this, Tim is undergoing additional brain surgery. To state that Tim is in a severe life-threatening condition is to understate the magnitude of what is happening . All I can do is pray to God, to my loving Janice, who is in heaven, and to Tim‘s mom who is there with Janice for their intercession.
I ask you for your prayers and for your kindness and trying to help Tim, Cassandra and Briella get through this difficult time.

He’s one of the greatest people. To know him is to love him. And he loves and provides for his family with everything that he’s got. It’s unclear what the path will be but we know it won’t be without its challenges. Every little bit helps to support Tim and his family.
