From Despair to Hope

Every night before bed, I read a story to our daughter Cali, Her eyes flutter close as she drifts off to dreamland, unaware of the storm brewing around us in Canada. But life has a way of surprising you when least expected. like the day we received word that my husband and I had no longer status, just like countless others who were once stable pillars of society.

We’re not ones to give up easily though. For 9 long months, we scrimped, saved, and searched for a new opportunity in this vast country. But it was as if the universe conspired against us, our visa extension got rejected, We were shocked, feeling like we had nowhere left to turn. The message from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) was clear: leave by a certain date or face consequences that are better imagined than faced alone.

Here I stand today, not as an individual but as part of our family. Our daughter is innocent in all this, she just started her 2nd year at Harwood Elementary as grade 3 student, cherishing every moment that we can give her here in Canada before the curtain falls on what was meant to be a forever home for us.

The numbers are daunting, a fund of $3,500 CAD is needed by next week so we can book our flight for Oct.5, 2025. coz we can no longer stay behind Oct. 7, 2025. if we have any chance of getting back home to our families in time and making sure our daughter’s education isn't interrupted. It’s an amount that seems insurmountable, yet it represents everything between us and a return to the warmth of family, comfort of tradition and perhaps some hope for tomorrow amidst hardship.

We are not asking for charity, we are simply seeking help from compassionate souls who understand what family means in all its forms. Your contribution, no matter how small, can make this impossible journey home possible. It’s about more than money, it’s a lifeline thrown across the chasm of misfortune and despair that stands between us and our daughter's future stability.

Please consider supporting us with what you can, be it sharing this story or donating to help secure passage for my family back home where we belong, together in love under one roof again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts if you decide to be part of turning a moment of crisis into one filled with hope, reunion, and miracle. May God bless you all.
