Therese Macasiray Truong Family Fund

It is with great sadness that we inform the Stanford/Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital/UCSF family of the passing of one of our own Pediatric Dermatology nurses, Therese Macasiray Truong on October 17th, 2019. Therese is survived by her husband, Cang Truong and her infant son, Damien. Therese was a friend, a colleague and an exemplary nurse at Stanford/Lucile Packard Children’s hospital who dedicated her life to promoting nursing excellence and helping others. Therese was a true advocate for her patients and committed to delivering quality care at all times.  She was a devoted wife and mother and loved dearly as a daughter, sister, and friend. Therese had a calm, patient and graceful way in her approach to the challenges in medicine and in life, and served as a true inspiration for many other trainees, students, staff and the faculty. She will be dearly missed. Therese’s love, kindness and generosity touched the lives of many and she continues to live through Cang and Damien. We recognize that there are many who will wish to reach out to help the family. This fund has been set up to support Cang and Damien with expenses (now and into the future) during this difficult time.
