NEW Sunny Center home repairs

THE SUNNY CENTER FINALLY HAS A NEW PERMANENT HOME!

This month the Sunny Center finally has a new permanent home a couple of doors down from their former home of the Sunny Center, offering the same lake views and the same rolling hills for walks. 

We would like to use this page to help raise funding for urgent repairs and updates to the new Sunny Center location in Ireland!


While it is very exciting news that the Sunny Center is finally in its new permanent home, unfortunately, there are some unexpected repairs that need to be made. This GoFundMe page is one way you can help, directly and immediately. The major necessary repair is adding insulation to the home, both in the attic and around exterior which will provide warmth, deter dampness, and be more environmentally friendly. ABOUT THE SUNNY CENTER


Sunny Jacobs  and Peter Pringle  could be considered the world’s most unusual couple.  Sonia "Sunny" Jacobs  and Peter Pringle were each wrongfully convicted in connection with the murders of two police officers in completely separate crimes in two different countries. Each were sentenced to death and each served 17 years and 15 years, respectively, in prison, Sunny, in the United States, and Peter, in Ireland. They both suffered the worst sort of injustice - being convicted and punished for a crime they DID NOT commit. However,  both also found healing and peace while still incarcerated through the practice of meditation and yoga. Now Sunny and Peter are actively helping others who, like themselves, were wrongly convicted. The couple married in 2011 and three years later they founded the Sunny Center USA Foundation.  The Sunny Center Foundation is a 501C3 non-profit in the US, to support the establishment of a healing center at their home in Ireland. There, they have opened their doors to welcome exonerees (others who have been wrongly convicted) from around the globe in order to offer them a stay at what is believed to be the world’s first such sanctuary.  A place  where the innocent-but-convicted people can go AFTER having served often long terms unjustly to safely rest, recuperate, transform and heal.

We have been very blessed to have found a suitable permanent home where we can continue our work helping the growing global community of exonerees. This past year we hosted exoneree guests from America to Asia and we are thrilled that the Sunny Center now has a stable home. However, we are reaching to you, our steadfast supporters, because this home needs some immediate repairs and renovations.
