The Clubhouse Cleveland=Sober Fun

Welcome to The Clubhouse Cleveland project, our plan to fight addiction and promote recovery in Northeast Ohio. Today two people will die from a drug overdose in Cuyahoga County alone and it is our heartfelt mission to do something about it.
Danny and I are both in recovery and have found that there are not enough places to go where you can have fun with friends in a sober environment. Going out to coffee, movies, or restaurants is expensive and isn't good for socializing in a large group. Dave & Busters, bowling alleys, arcades etc all serve alcohol.
Our Vision:
The Clubhouse Cleveland will be a sober place for people to go and have fun. It will be a welcoming environment that will exude positivity and acceptance. It will not only have activities like ping pong and other games, but will offer personal development through life coaching and motivational speakers. People’s talents will be showcased through art shows, motorcycle shows, and comedy acts. We want to show people how great life can be after putting down alcohol and drugs.
When we first got sober, we thought our lives were over and we would never have fun again. Instead our years in recovery have been the best of our lives and we attribute much of our success to our sober support groups. We are extremely passionate about our project because we feel The Clubhouse Cleveland will save lives by connecting people with the sober community, which will help them stay sober.
I lost my cousin Jason Starling (pictured above) to an overdose last November and it devastated our family. He was a wonderful person and loved his son Dylan very much, but fell victim to the disease of addiction. We can't do anything to bring Jason back, but maybe we can help another stay sober by providing a fun, sober environment. It only takes one more use to end someone's life.
Sobriety has given us:
Happiness
True Friends
And is so much FUN! We want to share the positive effects of SOBRIETY with as many people as we can!
The $15,000 goal was calculated based on the 6 month costs for a 2000 sq ft location on the border of West Cleveland and Lakewood.
This includes:
Rent + security deposit
Insurance
Utilities
Internet
Furnishings - any donations appreciated
General operating expenses
Absolutely all the funds will go to The Clubhouse Cleveland.
Sharing this campaign with others and/or donating would help SO much! Thank you!
Please email [email redacted] if you have any questions, items to donate/sell, or would like to get more involved in the project. Thanks again!
