Hi, I'm Lisa Viles, founder of The RAWR Foundation. RAWR stands for Resilience, Awareness, Wellness, and Relationships. The foundation was created from a simple belief: No one should have to struggle alone. Too many people are facing mental health challenges, grief, addiction, isolation, trauma, and life's overwhelming moments without support, connection, or a safe place to turn. At the same time, many community events focus only on entertainment while missing opportunities to provide resources, education, and meaningful connections that can genuinely change lives. The RAWR Foundation is working to bridge that gap.
Our mission is to create community-centered events, programs, and experiences that bring people together while promoting mental health awareness, wellness, substance use education, suicide prevention, family and community connection, youth engagement, and creative expression through art, music, and culture. We believe healing happens through relationships, belonging, and community.
Your support helps us create safe, welcoming events, youth and family programming, wellness and education stations, volunteer and peer support networks, and resource access programs. Funds raised will help cover event permits, venue costs, insurance, educational materials, outreach, volunteer training, youth activity supplies, wellness stations, marketing, and equipment needed for community events.
The RAWR Foundation was born from real-life experiences with loss, grief, and mental health struggles. We are not just building another organization—we are building a community. A place where people can show up exactly as they are, where conversations happen before crises occur, and where nobody walks alone.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us take another step toward creating meaningful change. If you can't donate, please consider sharing, volunteering, or spreading awareness. Together, we can build something bigger than any one person. Thank you for believing in this mission.
