The L.O.V.E. Group was inspired by my loving grandmother, Viola Anita Palmer, hence the acronym L.O.V.E. meaning
Legacy Of Viola's Empathy.
My grandmother was an avid advocate for her community especially for the youths. As a child, it was sometimes difficult to differentiate who were my blood relatives apart from friends of the family as almost everyone called her "Granma". She specialized in teaching young girls how to become young ladies and preparing them to become respectable women. Along with other women in the community like Mrs. Rose Goldburn, she taught girls needle point sewing, crochet, cooking, etiquette, table setting, public speaking and other general character-building lessons. Miss Vie or Granny Vie, as she was also called, was the go-to lady of the community as she and my grandfather, Egbert Palmer, was somewhat of a liaison between the church and it's various term Ministers over the years. She was also very involved with Fairfield Primary School and had a very close relationship with its teachers and principals for decades.
Her spirit of advocacy was inherited by my father Rev. Cedric Palmer who was the chairman for the Boys' Brigade, Manchester Battalion for several years. His focus was on building the character of young boys to become responsible gentlemen. Even towards the end of his life when he was weakened from illness, he tried to revive the movement at Fairfield Moravian Church and Fairfield Primary School. The fact that his competition being a plethora of adverse modern influences and changes in culture , it was too much for him as his strength waned and his support was lacking.
Many adults today who trod the roads of Fairfield as youths, can attest that Miss Vie left a positive landmark in their lives that has an effect on his or her character in one way or another. There are people even in Germany who can attest to Granma playing a role in their lives. In saying that, we must realize that these children today could be adults in any corner of the world in years to come and the foundation we build for them today may help to determine the type of person he or she may become tomorrow. My aim is to keep Viola's and Cedric's Legacy alive by providing a beacon and a hub of support for children especially in the Fairfield and its surrounding Districts.
Let us help them to build a strong foundation for their future, which will help them on their way into a world that poses more negative influences than positive ones.
Thank you very much for your continued kindness and support,
Sincerely
Romeo C. Palmer
The LOVE Group

11/2020 Student receiving tablets for remote learning.
Why a GoFundMe?
The L.O.V.E. Group is a dedicated group of people from Fairfield, Manchester on the beautiful Island of Jamaica and their friends, who have come together to create an environment conducive to the learning and growth of children in a safe, efficient and productive environment.
What is Our Focus?
The Fairfield Primary and Basic schools.
Why this Focus?
In recent decades these schools have been struggling to maintain the vibrant atmosphere they once possessed.
The students are high risk in many areas of development. This fires up our passion to combat all the seductions of darkness, with the lights of opportunity and hope. We believe that children are our future national and global leaders.
So we work hard to serve them throughout their youth stages by providing for their needs, molding and to grooming them into becoming adults achieving their highest potentials.
Worthy Achievements of 2020
1. Laptops
In the past months we have pooled to provide 14 tablets for the students ranging from ages 5 to 13.
2. Friday Meals
We have been and are providing meals for them each Friday as they attend school to have teachers check their weekly school work.
What's Our Major Goal for rest of the academic year, 2020-2021?
The erection of a perimeter fence and gate for security and safety purposes. Currently, the school grounds are open trespassers who could easily enter the premises potentially bringing harm to the teachers and students alike. *GOAL ACHIEVED AS OF MARCH 2022*
Our Plea
Please help us by making a generous contribution to reach our goals to create an environment that will:
1. Motivate our children to learn efficiently
2. Allow them play heartily
3. Give them the opportunity to grow safely
4. Help to build their self esteem
5. Help them to have happy and memorable childhood.
We can achieve these goals by providing them with up to date electronic devices for learning, a safer playing field, a netball court, safe steps and railings, a secure perimeter fence and gate that will help to ensure that the students, staff and parents minds will be at ease.
We thank you and appreciate you with all our hearts.
